The Human Performance Equation for organizations
The practical, human‑centred solution for building stronger performance and healthier teams.
Sustaining performance in complex environments requires more than isolated initiatives; it requires stronger human foundations.
My work is grounded in the Human Performance Equation, a science-based framework that approaches performance as a system. Performance emerges from the interaction of four human capacities that reinforce one another: when even one is neglected, the entire system weakens and results become difficult to sustain.
From this framework, four core areas of work emerge, each addressing one of the most relevant challenges organisations face today. While each area can be explored independently, their full value emerges when they work together, strengthening performance, wellbeing and business outcomes at the same time.
The Human Performance Equation in organisations
Today many organisations face increasing pressure, complexity and continuous change.
Leaders and teams are expected to deliver results while managing heavy workloads, shifting priorities and evolving organisational dynamics.
The Human Performance Equation addresses this challenge by strengthening the human capacities that sustain performance enabling individuals, teams and organisations to operate with greater clarity, resilience and effectiveness.
High Impact Ways I Serve Your Audience
Every organization faces different challenges, which is why this work is never one-size-fits-all.
Each intervention is designed around your context, your people and the outcomes you want to achieve.
Here are the main ways this work can take shape:

Paola’s communication and facilitation style are highly interactive, engaging and inclusive.
She creates a welcoming and safe environment where participants feel relaxed and comfortable to be open and vulnerable.
Paola has a remarkable ability to present deep and complex topics in a clear, concise and accessible way. She masterfully balances factual information with emotional insight, helping participants reflect on their own experiences and inspiring meaningful personal change.
I particularly enjoyed the practical exercises and actionable advice shared during the Energy Management workshop, many of which I’ve already started applying in my daily life.

“Paola gave a workshop about Navigating Change in my organisation to support our employees in having tools to navigate change with ease (as we are going through a reorganisation).
She presented techniques and examples (including positive psychology and Neuroscience) on how as humans we can navigate change in a way that allows us to see more possibilities and acknowledge our emotions.
The session was great and insightful!”

“Thank you so much, Paola, for the two wonderful sessions you gave at our office!
The first thing that stood out was your vibrant and positive energy—you instantly made everyone feel welcome.
Both sessions were incredibly insightful. The first focused on the theory behind resilience, while the second was more hands-on, equipping us with practical tools to work on acceptance and shift from a negative to a more positive mindset.
What made these sessions truly valuable was how well they were tailored to the specific needs of our organization. It was a great experience, and I am very grateful for your contribution!”

“I had the luxury of attending Paola’s presentation at the ACC Europe conference in Madrid last May.
Her approach was to remind us that we need to take a step back and start from the beginning. Her presence and her ideas were uplifting, simple and optimistic; she was inspirational without tiring us with endless details. I loved her energy and the feeling she created: she made us feel that she was talking to each one of us individually, giving us practical tips on how to properly rest for a peak performance!

FAQ - Corporate
The Human Performance Equation is designed for organizations, leadership teams and professionals operating in environments characterised by pressure, complexity and continuous change.
It is particularly relevant for those responsible for performance, leadership and people development within organisations.
The Human Performance Equation is particularly relevant for:
- HR leaders and L&D professionals redesigning leadership development, culture and people strategies
- executives and leadership teams navigating change, organisational complexity and increasing performance demands
- organisations facing challenges with engagement, talent retention or organisational transformation
- senior professionals and decision-makers operating in high-pressure or high-stakes environments

Yes. The Human Performance Equation is grounded in neuroscience, behavioural science, performance psychology and organisational research, combined with years of practical experience inside complex organisations.
The four areas of the Human Performance Equation can be delivered in different formats depending on the organization’s needs.
Interventions may take the form of keynote speeches, interactive workshops, leadership programs or structured development paths. Each format is designed to support practical application and meaningful organizational impact.
Yes. Every intervention is designed around the organization’s context, objectives and strategic priorities.
During the initial conversation we explore the current challenges, leadership dynamics and desired outcomes, so the intervention can be calibrated to the specific needs of the organization.
Each area of the Human Performance Equation can be explored independently, depending on the organization’s priorities.
However, the greatest impact emerges when the four areas work together, strengthening the human capacities that sustain energy, decision-making, adaptability and collaboration.
Interventions can range from single keynote sessions or workshops to multi-session leadership programs.
The duration depends on the depth of work required, the number of participants and the organizational objectives. These elements are typically defined together during the initial discovery conversation.
Many organisational initiatives focus on skills, processes or short-term wellbeing.
The Human Performance Equation works at a deeper level by strengthening the human capacities that sustain performance — including energy management, emotional regulation, cognitive agility and relational intelligence.
By working on these foundations, leaders and teams are able to sustain performance under pressure, complexity and change, rather than temporarily improving isolated behaviours.
When the four elements of the equation strengthen together, organizations typically see improvements in areas such as:
- sharper focus and higher productivity
- better and faster decision-making quality
- stronger collaboration, trust and cross-functional alignment
- higher engagement and retention of talents
- greater capacity to adopt and sustain change.
Highly engaged organizations consistently outperform on profitability, absenteeism and turnover – and these are the kinds of outcomes the Human Performance Equation is designed to enable.
Together, these shifts create more resilient teams, healthier cultures and stronger long‑term performance – especially in environments of pressure, complexity and rapid change.
The first step is a discovery conversation.
During the call we explore the context of your organization, the challenges leaders and teams are currently facing, and the outcomes you want to achieve. This helps determine whether the Human Performance Equation is the right approach and what type of intervention would be most effective.
